Hi, I’m Josh!
I started hosting Airbnb Experiences in 2019, and now I’ve opened a homestay with a unique concept inspired by my life as a full-time freelance photographer.
My journey has taken me abroad for many years — I worked in Australia for two years on a working holiday visa (2013–2015), traveled across Europe for two months in 2017, and spent a year working in New Zealand in 2018 before returning to Korea in 2019. Alongside hosting, I worked as a full-time barista until 2023, when I transitioned fully into photography. Since then, I’ve had the joy of meeting countless travelers from all over the world who come to Korea.
Our home is a little outside the busy center of Seoul, but I’ll make sure you feel comfortable and connected. I personally offer rides to and from the nearest subway stations — Digital Media City Station (Airport Railroad) and Hwajeon Station (Gyeongui-Jungang Line).
The greatest advantages of staying in our homestay are comfort and safety. I’ll be there to respond quickly in case of emergencies, and you’ll also have the convenience of ordering delivery food in larger portions (Korean fried chicken has so many varieties you’ll want to try!).
Breakfast will always be provided in a light Korean style, free of charge, and for dinner, you’ll enjoy something a bit more plentiful: for a 2-night, 3-day stay, one dinner is complimentary.
Additional dinners are available at 5,000 KRW per person. Of course, cereals and bread are also available anytime.
To make your trip easier, I provide climate-friendly metro cards that are ready to use once charged. A small deposit of 5,000 KRW is required, but it will be fully refunded when your journey ends.
As a special bonus, I also offer 20% off my photography service. Even if you stay here just briefly and move on to another place, you can still enjoy the discounted rate for a photo session in Seoul.
Thanks to my barista background, I’ve also prepared a selection of coffee beans from some of Korea’s finest roastery cafés — feel free to enjoy unlimited cups during your stay.
In addition, I can organize some fun activities:
- Hiking
- A local tour in Mapo-gu (Mangwon Market – Haneul Park – Korean fried chicken experience)
These programs have a small extra fee, but they’re a great way to discover authentic local life.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me anytime!
