Hi, I’m Josh from Joshfotos_, a professional photographer based in Seoul, South Korea.
Since 2019, I’ve been capturing unforgettable moments for travelers, couples, and influencers from all around the world. Whether it’s a wedding photoshoot, a Korean pre-wedding session, or a Seoul travel photography experience, my goal is to help every client feel comfortable, confident, and natural in front of the camera — even if posing feels unfamiliar.
I believe photography is not just about taking pictures, but about telling your story through beautiful, timeless images. Let’s create warm memories together in the heart of Seoul that you’ll cherish forever.
A Romantic Seoul Couple Photoshoot: From Peaceful Hanok to Neon-Lit Streets
When I first met this wonderful couple back in October 2024, we immediately connected over our love for candid travel moments. So when they reached out again in 2025 with the exciting news that they were getting married, I was beyond thrilled to document their engagement story right here in Seoul.
To celebrate their journey, we planned a dynamic two-part session showcasing two completely contrasting sides of the city: the tranquil, traditional beauty of Eunpyeong Hanok Village during the day, followed by the vibrant retro energy of Euljiro (Hipjiro) at night.
Part 1: Quiet Romance at Eunpyeong Hanok Village
While Bukchon Hanok Village is world-famous, it often gets packed with crowds during peak travel seasons. For couples looking for breathing room, grand mountain backdrops, and peaceful alleys, Eunpyeong Hanok Village is one of Seoul’s best-kept secrets.
Nestled against the dramatic peaks of Bukhansan Mountain, this modern Hanok village features wide stone pathways and open natural lighting. We scheduled our shoot during the soft early light to avoid harsh shadows and ensure the natural colors popped effortlessly.
Rather than stiff, formal poses, I always encourage my couples to walk, laugh, and interact naturally. Taking a casual stroll through the tranquil alleys and autumn cosmos fields allowed their genuine affection to shine through in every single frame.
Part 2: Retro Vibes & Neon Lights in Euljiro (Hipjiro)
As evening fell, we shifted the mood entirely and headed into the buzzing heart of Euljiro. Known locally as "Hipjiro," this neighborhood is famous for its labyrinth of industrial print shops, vintage signboards, and bustling outdoor pocha (street food stalls).
Starting near Jonggak and winding through Sewoon Cheonggye Sangga toward Euljiro 3-ga, every narrow alley felt like a movie set. Shooting at night with prime lenses allows for beautiful subject separation, but I always take care to balance background blur with the unmistakable character of Seoul’s street life—from classic Hangeul neon signs to retro subway shelter signs.
The contrast between the warm day tones at the Hanok village and the electric nightlife of Euljiro gave them a diverse, unforgettable collection of memories to take home.
